Application of the “inspection rule” in IOS firewall (CBAC)

When configuring IOS firewall (CBAC) operations on Cisco routers, the “inspection rule” could be applied at two locations:

• At the untrusted interface in the outbound direction.
• At the trusted interface in the inbound direction.
